Wizard Magazine founder and CEO Gareb Shamus just launched FunFare, a family-oriented consumer magazine that combines elements of Wizard’s ToyFare and Toy Wishes magazines. “With FunFare, we’ve created a new media brand targeted at parents and children (under 14) whose primary focus is toys, games and anything fun,” Shamus told Mr. Magazine recently. “This is the perfect time to launch, as families are looking for ways to spend more time together, make the right purchasing decisions and just have fun.”
According to the press release, the premiere issue of FunFare debuted at Wizard World Philadelphia and was full of fun articles such as “The 100 Hottest Toys,” features on how toys are made, and profiles of the “Kid Kritics” who rate toys. The first Holiday Issue of FunFare, which will include the Holiday Hot Dozen Toys, will debut at the Big Apple Con in October.
